Sausage And Pinaple Appetizer |
I prefer to do this one with some left over BBQ'd Farmer Sausage but you pick what kind of smoked sausage you like the best.
It is so easy and can be made up ahead of time.
Sometime when we have a pizza night we have sausage, ham and pineapple left over. Those left overs can be used up this way.
Ingredients are as follows:
- Smoked Farmer Sausage (left over BBQ is best)
- Slices of caned or fresh pineapple, cut into bite size pieces
Slice sausage in to 1/4 inch or 6-7 mm bite size pieces. Cut the pineapple slices into bite size pieces as well, then stack one or two pieces on top of the sausage with a tooth pic. I prefer two pieces of pineapple.
You can substitute for other fruits that you like; grapes, kiwi, peaches etc. goes great. Put on a serving platter and chill before serving.
A variation of this is to use warm sausage and add cold pineapple on top and serve right away. Yummy!
